For a small and reasonably well managed HOA like TVHA, there is little reason to change from a ‘home grown’ board of directors’ management system, to one that’s other directed like a 3rd party HOA outside management organization. No reason to increase management cost. No reason to relinquish local control. No reason other than non-involved disinterest.
Three current members of our Timberton Board of Directors are at the end of their terms. There will be an election of 3 board members at this next annual meeting – June 26, 2023. An election anticipates interested candidates. The forthcoming term will be a 2-year involved commitment. Not a passive role.
We are herein soliciting candidate interest well in advance in order to assist in the transition of learned experience and obligation. We have had a history of conscientious board members coming into the current team. Hopefully the forthcoming 2023 – 2024 team will be motivated by wisdom and an involved strength of purpose.
Ann Maynard, board Secretary, has resigned as of March 27, due to health reasons. She will be missed. This intended lead time will afford the Board an opportunity to designate a replacement Secretary Board Member in the interim. Lead time to train with Ann and the benefit to hit the ground running … becoming a full-fledged member of the Board for the next 2-year term.
