Board Meeting Notes – and a Call for a New Bookkeeper

Good Day Timberton Village

First off, a thank you to all who participated in Monday’s quarterly TVHA board meeting. Just super and well attended. The village is coming back with a renewed positive and involved interest.

The next board meeting is scheduled for June. Though a separate venue, it will be combined with this years ‘Timberton Village Homeowners’ annual meeting. Date and time to be announced. We will have the great room at South Bay to accommodate the anticipated turn out.

Some preparation –
2022-2023 Annual Budget: There will be a presentation, discussion and acceptance of the new annual budget. While operating costs are expected to increase, there will be no increase in the annual cost of community landscaping (a 2-year contract and our greatest expense); this thanks to John Sweet. We will also look to budget the basic expenses that underlay some identified forthcoming volunteer tasks.

Board of Directors Election: Three seats on the board are open for election. 2 two-year terms (Tom Snelson and Roger Bryan) and the balance (1 year term) to replace Samer Elgezawi who has resigned effective June’s meeting. Ballots will be generated and sent out in plenty of time with voting to be accomplished at the meeting. Give it a thought if you’d like to run for the board – “It Takes a Village” and we welcome involved members. Let the board know and we’ll place your name on the ballot.

Also, and most immediate near term … we are seeking a new Bookkeeper to replace Kathy Kubesh who has tendered her resignation effective when a replacement is found and ‘up to speed’. This is immediate. We’d like to fill this position ‘locally’ with a conscientious knowledgeable member of our village community Alternative to a village volunteer the board will be seeking an outside 3rd party bookkeeping individual. An outside bookkeeper, once determined, will be an added expense to the village budget. Contact the board if you’re qualified and experienced and, most important, interested.

Best regards and thanks
Roger Bryan, President, Timberton Village HOA
