As a reminder, our community has several parking rules that contribute to the attractiveness of our neighborhood. These rules can be found in Article 4 of the South Bay Declarations (Sections 4.2.17 – 4.2.19). While these provisions are a bit wordy, the short version is that you should park your cars and pickup trucks in your garage or driveway, not on the street. Street parking (including in the roadside right of way) is allowed only for occasional, short-term daytime use such as for daytime visitors or to accommodate contractors. No vehicles should remain on the street overnight.
Parking is not permitted in the cul-de-sacs (referred to as “courts” in Article 4). This ensures large vehicles such as fire, garbage and gas delivery trucks have room to turn around safely.
Trailers, RVs, boats, and large trucks (over 3/4 ton capacity), etc. may only be parked in your driveway for short periods to accommodate loading, unloading, etc. This may not exceed 72 hours per month.
We hope everyone’s new year is getting off to a good start.
