You may know that Jefferson Healthcare is working on plans for a new healthcare clinic that will be across the street from the bank. You may have noticed the new sign showing the proposed design on that corner.
Some residents have discovered more information.
As an introduction, we point you to the article at the Port Townsend Leader here. Some further information was found out by the folks on the Port Ludlow Village Health and Wellness Committee. Gunter Krume reports this information after he contacted Jefferson Healthcare for more information.
Well, I got a first response from Jefferson Healthcare and will be trying to get more details as the relevant decisions are made. I could imagine that the specific medical specialists rotating through the new Port Ludlow clinic would be important to many of us:
“4,000 square foot building is being located in the Village Market area at the corner of Paradise Road and Breaker Lane
The ground breaking we hope will be this year. We are waiting to hear from Port Ludlow Associates when this can be scheduled.
Once Port Ludlow Associates break ground (all permits approved), we understand it will be around 9 months from start to finished construction. So we anticipate being able to see patients in the mid to late 2016. We will plan to have a grand opening celebration for the new Port Ludlow Clinic.
Port Ludlow Associates (PLA) are the builders – Jefferson Healthcare will lease the building from PLA.
The facility will have the following:
• 6 exam rooms
• procedure room
• consultation office
• lab draw station
• X-ray services
• Community resource center
The clinic will have visiting specialists as well as ongoing primary care.”
