Jefferson County Fire and Rescue issued a HIGH fire danger warning for all of Jefferson County on
June 25, 2025. This includes Port Ludlow. We are in the middle of a very dry and warm season.
As explained on the Fire and Rescue website, the following prohibitions are in effect until further
notice: “No recreational wood fires, no yard debris or land clearing burning, no open flame devices
such as tiki torches, liquid fuel candles, or lanterns, no gas or propane fired weed burners.” The
following are allowed, “Gas or propane fueled appliances, enclosed wood, pellet, charcoal, or solid fuel
cooking at a private residences.”
Please take this warning seriously. When the conditions and fire danger level change, the board will
send out another eblast letting you know what is allowed or prohibited. Thank you for helping keep our
