The Olympic Range is in a drought condition and the forecast for the summer is more heat. This raises the real possibility of a major fire in our area. The Port Ludlow Fire/Rescue service will present a program on fire safety and emergency preparedness.
The program will cover the following topics:
Representatives from Port Ludlow Fire & Rescue, U.S. Forest Service and the Department of Emergency Management will be on hand on June 9 at the Bay Club for a presentation to the community about fire safety issues and how they pertain to wild land or vegetation fire risks; information about local resources and services; being prepared for natural disasters and provide an opportunity for fire extinguisher training.
Handouts will be provided.
